Our green juices contain chlorophyll – the soothing, healing, lifegiving living nutrient created by sunshine on plants. Green juices will heal and deodorise the digestive tract, especially when we all some freshly harvested or powdered wheatgrass.

I always base my green juices on cucumber. This juicy vegetable, rich in life giving seeds, is nature’s anti-inflammatory, dissolving the uric crystals which cause arthritis in our joints. These crystals can feel like broken glass in our joints, and actually lacerate our cartilage, wreck our synovial membranes and fluids, disabling the joints.

Cucumber also contains vitamins C and A (anti-oxidants), folate, manganese, molybdenum, potassium, silica, sulfur, and lesser amounts of vitamin B complex, sodium, calcium, and phosphorus.

My first juice each day is 1 cucumber, 2 sticks of celery, 2 oz of reconstituted wheat grass, some curly kale, a handful of watercress, and a handful of green grapes or green apple for sweetness. Simply blend! This is also the best pick-me-up after exercise, building healthy bones and muscles.
